About spring elastic change

The elastic modulus and resonant frequency of spring in general metals and alloys decrease with the increase of temperature (βE < 0 =, while the elastic modulus of pure nickel and some Fe-Ni and Fe-Cr-Co alloys change very little (βE≈0) or even increase (βE > 0) near room temperature. This phenomenon is called elastic anomalous change. The reason for the abnormal change of spring elasticity is that in a certain temperature range, the internal structure of the material has undergone additional size or volume changes, such as phase transition, order disorder transition and ferromagnetic property change.
